Healthcare and Medical Support

As one of the first projects initiated by the Foundation of Goodness in 1999, the origins of the medical centre lie in the maternity clinics held in association with the Medical Officer for Health (MOH) of Hikkaduwa, benefiting rural mothers and expectant mothers. The medical centre was formalised in 2007 following the 2005 Indian tOcean Tsunami and the staff conducts medical clinics as well as community outreach programmes, including maternity clinics, and visits to local schools and elders’ homes to ensure their wellbeing. We now also offere telemedicine health check up to broaded our reach and give acecss to medical care across the Island.
