The Sri Lankan Economic Crisis left many low-income families struggling to put all three meals on the table, causing children to come to school hungry. This affected their ability to learn and engage in class. To address this, the Foundation of Goodness introduced a school meals programme in 2022, providing nutritious midday meals tostudents in a remote schools. Prepared by the locals with locally sourced ingredients, these meals help the children focus and improve their learning experience. We recommend offering meals five days a week to ensure consistent support.
