Donate thought our Donation Platform
Online Donations:
Step 1: Create an account and set up a password for future log in (It is mandatory for donors to enter their name, email address and home address. This information will only be used for identification of your donation and receipting purposes)
Step 2: An email will be sent to your designated email address with a verification link. Please click the link to activate your account and log in. (If you have not received the email please also check your spam and trash folders)
Step 3: Login using your password (you can continue using the password for all future logins) and proceed with the donation- please ensure you mention the purpose of the donation (eg: school packs) in the notes section
Step 4: You will receive an automatic confirmation of your donation to the email address provided.

*The online payment gateway deducts 3.5% of your donation that the Foundation of Goodness does not receive.

UNIVERSITY STUDENTS
The normal duration of university education is 4 years but sometimes depending on unexpected events taking place in Sri Lanka it could be 5 or even 6 years but the minimum period of sponsorship is 1 year. If you are able to and if you’re are happy with the student’s progress you may continue with the sponsorship.
The only condition that applies for the student is that a progress report should be submitted to the donor once in every 4 months and if he/she fails to fulfil this being the only request made by us then we will discontinue the sponsorship even if it is a 4-year grant, purely on disciplinary grounds. The student is informed and advised on this at the point of registering with us for sponsorship.
A file containing all the background information including the family details, bank account details, photographs and letter/s confirming the student’s enrollment with the University will be sent to you once the funds are remitted.
Monthly instalment – LKR 10,000/-
Total Sponsorship per annum – LKR 120,000/-
SCHOOL CHILDREN
A file containing all the background information including the family details, bank account details, photographs and a letter of certification from the School Principal of the student’s enrollment with the School will be sent to you once the funds are remitted.

Advanced Level – LKR 7,500/-
Payments could be made annually or for the whole sponsorship period online or via telegraphic transfers, by way of cheques written in favour of the Foundation of Goodness, bank drafts or direct deposits to the Foundation account.
When making online payments please specify as SCHOLARSHIP FOR UNIVERSITY STUDENT or SCHOLARSHIP FOR SCHOOL CHILDREN.

The Foundation of Goodness is proud to now accept Australian donations through our partners at Doing Good Foundation who will provide tax-deductible receipts. The Doing Good Foundation a registered Australian charity with the required statuses to remit funds to charities not registered in Australia and to issue tax deductible receipts for donations over AUD$2. *Note, the online platform Raisely uses the third party payment gateway Stripe, which charges 1.4%+30c processing fee on Australian cards (1.75%+30c for AMEX and 2.9%+30c on international cards). For example, should you wish for FOG to receive a $100 donation, you will need to donate slightly more than $100, adjusted as per your payment method to cover these Stripe fees.
*Note, throughout the Raisely process a checkbox appears which does not cover this Stripe processing fee – the checkbox is asking you to cover Raisely’s website fees “Add $xx to help cover our fundraising costs” – note that this is not FOG or DGF’s fundraising costs. The Stripe processing fee can only be covered if you increase the donation amount.

Note: DGF does not charge an administration fee for collecting and transferring funds to FOG. Net funds are sent to FOG (less international transfer fee and any currency conversion losses). For example, should you wish for FOG to receive the full $100 of your $100 donation, you will need to donate slightly more to cover the transfer fees.
If your donation is to be allocated to a specific project, general project or for the “Goodness Endowment Trust”, please advise DGF at the below email at the time of donation. Doing Good Foundation is accountable to donors for remitting the funds to their selected charity and FOG is accountable to Australian donors for using those funds for legitimate beneficiaries.
